Privacy Policy

Effective May 25, 2026 ยท Last updated May 25, 2026

Echoform Studios LLC ("Echoform," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Glance mobile application ("Glance" or the "Application") and the website at glance.day (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your choices.

By using Glance or the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Glance or the Site.

Privacy summary

Glance is built so calendar event content stays on your device. We do not operate servers that store your calendar events or your Glance app settings.

Calendar data

Glance reads calendar events from your connected calendar sources to display them on your device. Event content is not sent to Echoform or stored on Echoform-operated servers. When you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365, authentication and calendar sync are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies. Apple calendars are accessed locally through iOS EventKit; iCloud sync, if enabled, is handled by Apple.

Other highlights

  • Location: If you enable weather or air quality features, your device sends location coordinates to weather and air quality providers. Calendar content is never included in those requests.
  • Usage analytics: Glance collects app usage events (for example, app opens and screen views) using an anonymized device identifier. Events are uploaded to Echoform-controlled storage for product improvement. We do not include calendar content in analytics and we do not use third-party advertising analytics SDKs.
  • Waitlist: If you join the waitlist on glance.day, we collect your email address to send product updates.
  • We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it, (b) your device sends it when you use features, and (c) our hosting providers log routine web traffic.

1.1 Glance Application

Calendar events (titles, times, attendees, notes) are processed on your device only and are not stored on Echoform servers. Account identifiers from Google or Microsoft sign-in are stored in your device Keychain, with authentication handled by those providers. Location coordinates, when you enable weather or air quality, are sent from your device to weather and AQI providers but are not stored by Echoform. App settings such as theme, calendar selection, and units are stored locally on your device. Usage analytics (app opens, sessions, screen views, taps, onboarding steps, and permission outcomes) are uploaded to Echoform storage using an anonymized device identifier. If you contact us, we retain any email or attachments you send.

We do not currently offer in-app subscriptions. We do not operate push notification servers in the current beta.

1.2 Site (glance.day)

When you use the Site, we may collect the email address you submit on the waitlist form, a timestamp and source label, and server log data our hosting provider records such as IP address, browser type, and referring page.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on the Site.

2. How we use information

Application

  • Display your calendar and operate Glance features on your device
  • Fetch weather, air quality, and sun times when you enable those features
  • Authenticate and sync with calendar providers you choose
  • Store your preferences on your device
  • Measure product usage and improve Glance through usage analytics
  • Respond to support requests

Site

  • Operate the waitlist and send product and waitlist updates about Glance
  • Operate, secure, and maintain the Site

We do not use your information for third-party advertising. We do not sell personal information.

3. How we share information

We share information only as described below.

Weather, air quality, and sun times (location coordinates when those features are enabled; no calendar content)

  • Apple (WeatherKit)
  • U.S. EPA AirNow (when configured in the app)
  • Open-Meteo (air quality fallback)
  • PurpleAir (only if you enter your own API key in settings)
  • sunrise-sunset.org

Service providers that help us operate Glance and the Site

  • Vercel (website hosting and API functions)
  • Google (cloud spreadsheet storage for waitlist emails and usage analytics events, accessed only by Echoform personnel who need it for their role)

Each third-party provider processes information under its own privacy policy. We do not control their practices.

Location sharing. Weather and air quality features require sharing location coordinates with the providers listed above. We do not sell location data or use it for advertising.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, address fraud or security issues, or complete a merger or acquisition (with notice where required by law).

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Storage, retention, and deletion

On your device. App settings, calendar presentation data, OAuth tokens, and a short-term analytics buffer are stored locally. Uninstalling Glance removes this local data subject to iOS behavior.

Echoform servers. We do not maintain a cloud copy of your calendar events or app settings.

Waitlist email. We retain waitlist emails until the friends-and-family TestFlight program launches, then delete the waitlist or stop using it for waitlist purposes. If you remain subscribed to product updates, we may continue to email you until you unsubscribe.

Usage analytics. Event rows are retained for 365 days from the date we receive them, then deleted or aggregated. A short-term buffer may remain on your device until events are uploaded or you uninstall the app.

Support email. We retain correspondence as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable business records.

5. Usage analytics

Glance records a minimal set of app usage events, such as app opens, session start and end, screen views, selected taps, onboarding progress, calendar connection results, and permission prompts and outcomes.

Each event may include:

  • An anonymized device identifier (a random ID stored on your device, not your name or email)
  • App version, build number, and platform
  • Event name and non-sensitive properties (for example, which settings row was tapped)
  • Timestamp

We never include calendar event titles, bodies, attendee names, or other calendar content in analytics.

Events are buffered on your device, then sent in batches to https://glance.day/api/telemetry and stored in Echoform-controlled systems. We analyze aggregated, de-identified counts for product quality and planning.

We do not use third-party advertising analytics SDKs. We do not use analytics for cross-app tracking.

Beta notice. Usage analytics support the TestFlight beta program. There is no separate in-app opt-out in current beta builds. If you do not want usage analytics uploaded, do not install TestFlight builds that include this instrumentation, or uninstall Glance.

6. Waitlist and email

If you submit your email on glance.day:

  • We add it to an internal waitlist operated by Echoform.
  • We may send product and waitlist updates about Glance.
  • You may unsubscribe or ask us to remove your email at any time by writing to hello@glance.day.

We do not sell waitlist emails.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Security of calendar and settings data on your device also depends on your device passcode, operating system updates, and the security of your connected provider accounts.

8. Your privacy rights (United States, including CCPA/CPRA)

We extend the following rights to all U.S. users, including rights provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act.

Because Glance stores calendar and location history on your device (not on Echoform servers):

  • Access. We do not maintain a downloadable copy of your calendar or location history on Echoform servers. Manage calendar data in Google, Microsoft, or Apple settings. Manage on-device Glance data in the app or by uninstalling. For analytics, we can describe categories of data linked to your anonymized device identifier if you provide that ID in a request.
  • Deletion. Email hello@glance.day to request deletion of: (1) your waitlist email, (2) usage analytics rows matching your anonymized device identifier (we can explain how to find this ID in TestFlight builds), and (3) any other Echoform-held records you identify in your request.
  • Correction. Email us to correct waitlist contact information we hold.
  • Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (waitlist email, anonymized analytics device ID), internet or electronic activity (app usage events, Site server logs), and geolocation (precise location sent to weather and AQI providers, not stored as history by Echoform). We have not sold any of these categories and have not shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising. Calendar event content is processed on your device and is not held on Echoform servers.

Glance processes precise geolocation when you enable weather or air quality. We use it only to provide those features, not to infer unrelated characteristics about you.

How to submit a request. Email hello@glance.day with the subject line "Privacy Request," the type of request, and enough information to verify you (for example, the waitlist email you used). Authorized agents may submit requests with written permission.

Response time. We respond within 45 days of receipt. If more time is needed, we may extend up to an additional 45 days where permitted by law, with notice.

We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Children

Glance is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided information, contact hello@glance.day and we will delete records we control.

10. International users

Glance is operated from the United States. If you use Glance from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your home country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, on the Site or in the app). Continued use of Glance or the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
